Sara Wood, ND

Dr. Wood grew up in Colorado and obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Colorado College. An enthusiasm for science but a passion for people led her to medicine, and a desire to treat the cause of disease, not the symptoms led her to naturopathy. After completing her doctorate at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Wood came to Beaverton Naturopathic Medicine to work with a team of innovative, caring, and experienced physicians as well as to round out the office with her focus on women’s medicine.

Dr. Wood’s practice focuses on endocrine imbalance, digestive dysfunction, immune and allergy support and cardiovascular health. She performs women’s annual exams, as well as other general screening exams and treats patients with acute and chronic complaints. Dr. Wood believes deeply in the six tenements of naturopathic medicine, and especially in treating the whole person, the importance of treating the underlying cause of disease and the significance of prevention. She also believes that it is important for all health care practitioners to work together and that the future of medicine is to have medical doctors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists, osteopaths etc working collectively with a common goal, to help their patient achieve optimal wellness.
